Can drinking too much water lead to weight gain?
I started drinking too much water to keep the toxins away from the body but now I realize that I have started putting on weight. Can this be due to drinking water excessively?
Reply: No, this is a myth. If you are drinking too much water then the weight gain is temporary. After your body ph level balances out, your body tends to lose the weight through sweat, urine and digestion of food. Moreover if you are drinking too much water, then it will leave little space for the stomach to consume food. As a result, a person tends to eat less. So initially a person will gain weight but will lose more weight overall because the majority of the water weight they gain will be expelled naturally.

Which is better exercise to lose weight – Cardio or Lifting weights
I want to lose weight quickly so can you please guide me if cardio or lifting weights are better to lose weight. Someone suggested that you can burn more calories from lifting than from doing cardio. Is this true?
Reply: If your focus is to lose weight, then certainly doing cardio activities—such as walking or running is the best choice. Lifting weights can help you develop more stamina which may help you last longer during your cardio workouts—so you should include one to three sessions a week of weight training into your routine. But to burn more calories, do cardio more often and for longer periods.
