Activity and Exercises

The Greatest Wealth is Health

Good health is the result of a well rounded healthy lifestyle which includes eating right, exercising and practicing good habits. Staying fit and healthy requires every aspect of an individual's life to be looked at and addressed with the intention of making them feel like the best they can. Physical activity plays a central role in keeping us healthy, so it is very important to be physically active on a regular basis but this doesn't mean that each one have to go and sweat out at a gym. Physical activity can be in any form might be in the form of your daily household work or going for a walk or gardening etc.

All adults should try to do at least 30 minutes of moderate intensity physical activity, at least five times per week. If 30 minutes all in one go sounds a bit too much to start with, don't worry! You can make up the daily 30 minutes by adding together shorter bouts of activity, such as 10 minutes, three times a day. There are no hard core rules that you have to stick to a particular activity or follow someone else. Choose activity which interests you and to avoid boredom keep changing your activity.

Benefits of being active

Being active on a regular basis is really important for your health and well-being.

Beneficial effects include:
